New me type moment... I've wanted to have my long boring hair to be cut for ages, but I went for it today, after a recommendation from a friend, I visited Jamie.. I wanted a short new look and don't mind admitting I was very nervous! Jamie was brilliant, she really put me at ease, as well as obviously being a fabulous hair stylist, she's clearly a lovely person. She had great humour, told me what she was doing throughout and it got to about half way through and I actually started to believe her! Super experience. I smiled all the way home! If anyone wants to be brave then she's the go to woman!

Everyone was so sweet and kind, very patient with me as it was my first time every going to a stylist. And Omg Jamie and the girls did such an amazing job with my hair, I felt like a new person and it was so pretty I almost cried. It didnt look like my usual mess of curls at all, its now perfect and wavy and she gave me so much advice on how to manage it going forward. Absolute stars all of them ❤️❤️❤️

I had such a great experience with Lottie today! She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted, kept checking that I was happy with how it looked and styled it perfectly at the end. 10/10 would absolutely recommend. Thanks Lottie!

Great experience for ‘The Maxi’ with Abbey who listened attentively to my ideas and talked me through every stage of the colour application with the end result looking super. The cut is exactly as I had hoped and looks fab. Needless to say I am very pleased.

Finding a curly hair specialist is always difficult. The cut and finish which Jamie at Meraki gave me was excellent. I was listened to and Jamie cut my hair dry, then shampooed and set it into some of the best curls ever achieved at any hair dressers I have been to. I would highly recommend her.

I had high hopes finding a localish “curl specialist”. However, sadly the curl by curl or deva curl method isn’t used. (I have now learnt my lesson to ask in advance when I see the description curl specialist). Whilst hair is cut dry, the curl is brushed out, which has left my tight curls on top sprung up as they were not cut in their natural state. Lovely salon and friendly staff, but sadly it’s not the curl specialist I was expecting. This cutting method does not work for my curls.

Visited for the first time today and saw Jamie for a dry curly hair cut. What a breath of fresh air to have someone really listen to the particulars of my crazy barnet! Actually looking forward to returning, having always been disappointed with hairdressing in the past). Thank you Jamie! See you soon 🙂

I booked an appointment online for the following day. Arrived to be greeted by a surprised looking receptionist who obviously didn't expect me. A more senior person came forward to ask if I had booked the appointment the previous day so clearly no-one had looked to see if any clients were due. After a slight hesitation I was told the hairdresser was off sick and no-one else available. Why then were no other customers visible and why, less than 24 hours earlier, did I have a choice of hairdressers available? Perhaps they were all unwell? No apologies, little interest shown. Appalling service.

completely reshaped my hair for the better, couldn’t have asked for a better haircut. the whole shop is very friendly and Caz who cut my hair was wonderful! 10/10 recommend

From box-dye black to bouncy blonde, Jamie is a miracle worker. It's been a journey, but Jamie has been amazing throughout. From the get-go she listened to my wants and needs ensuring that each and every time I left the salon, I had a hairstyle that worked for my lifestyle. When I first walked into her Leicester salon my hair was a hot mess. It was long, damaged and badly over-coloured. It was way too dark for me so I was colouring it every 4 weeks. Now, 5 years later, my hair is long, healthy, blonde, and constantly getting compliments. Jamie always goes above and beyond. She's professional, friendly and without a doubt, passionate about what she does. The salon itself is a lovely, calm environment and it's clear to see the amount of care and attention Jamie gives to it and her staff. Everyone has always been happy, smiling and friendly. I'd recommend Meraki in a heartbeat. ✨ UPDATE ✨ I can't leave another 5 stars, but absolutely would if I could! My last cut was over 8 months ago (life has gotten in the way of returning sooner!), Jamie used the calligraphy blade to cut my hair and the grow out has been incredible. Even though it's been so long, I'm still getting compliments on the cut & colour 😍 Worth every penny.

I’ve been going to Meraki Hair since I was little, and they never disappoint! Every visit leaves me feeling refreshed and confident, no matter what service I get. They always understand exactly what I want and bring it to life perfectly. The atmosphere is amazing, and the quality of work is top-notch. If you’re looking for a salon that consistently delivers great results, this is the place to be! (Thanks for doing my hair mum, love you ☺️)

Highly recommended. Beautiful, clean and full of talented, friendly people. Jamie really listens to what I want and somehow manages to work out exactly what I mean and need! Love how my blonde highlights grow out so naturally. Would never go anywhere else.

I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my hair - Jamie is truly incredible at what she does! A consistent and reliable salon and the perfect atmosphere to unwind knowing you’ll come out with exactly what you envisioned!

Such an amazing salon, lovely atmosphere and super professional and friendly!! I got a restyle with calligraphy and am super happy with results and is exactly what I was after.

Jamie is excellent, real attention to detail. I used to go to the Queen's Rd salon until they closed and now I travel 50mins out my way just for Jamie!

Had a great experience today, really felt listened to. The first time I’ve ever had a curly cut and Jamie explained the technique being used. Actually left with curly hair and not a straight blow dry, that I have to wash when I get home.

As soon as I walked in I knew I was in safe hands. A very professional but friendly atmosphere.

Abby worked her magic on my flat, lifeless, fine hair. I walked out feeling like a million dollars. She was kind, patient and listened to what I wanted, Thank you so much Abby. :) Edit : I've had my hair coloured and again Abby has done a fantastic job. I think it's the best balyage I've had - thanks again!

I have tried this hair salon but have decided to give another salon a try. At Meraki I increasingly felt a little out of place. So this last week I have done just this. Please see my comments on my first visit to Stephanie Jones.

Great hairdressers. They "get" my hair. They're also brilliant with my two daughter (7, shoulder length wavy and 4, short and very curly)
